Sahibzada Farhan is a Pakistani cricketer who was born on March 6, 1996 in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off-break. Farhan made his first-class debut for Peshawar in the 2015–16 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He made his List A debut for Peshawar in the 2016–17 Pakistan Cup. In 2018, he was named in Pakistan’s Test squad for their series against Ireland. However, he did not make an appearance in the series.

Farhan has been a consistent performer for Peshawar in domestic cricket. In the 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, he was the leading run-scorer for Peshawar with 675 runs in 10 matches. He also took 18 wickets in the season. In the 2018–19 Pakistan Cup, he was the leading run-scorer for Peshawar with 520 runs in 8 matches.

In 2018, Farhan was signed by Islamabad United for the 2018 Pakistan Super League. He made his PSL debut in 2018 and has since played 20 matches in the tournament. He has scored 564 runs in PSL at an average of 28.20 and a strike rate of 133.33.

Farhan is a talented batsman who has the potential to play international cricket for Pakistan. He is a hard-hitter who can score runs quickly. He is also a good fielder and can take wickets with his off-spin.

  • Man of the match: Named man of the match in the opening fixture of the 2018 Pakistan Cup against Balochistan, scoring 155 runs.
  • Domestic Cricketer of the Year: Awarded the PCB’s Domestic Cricketer of the Year for 2021.
  • Leading run-scorer in T20: Led the run-scorers in the 2021–22 National T20 Cup with 447 runs.
  • Captain: Currently captains Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited in the 2023–24 President’s Trophy.

International Career:

  • National call-up: Called up to the Pakistan national team for the first time in June 2018.
  • Central contract: Awarded a central contract by the Pakistan Cricket Board for the 2018–19 season.
