Mohammad Amir is a former Pakistani cricketer who played as a left-arm fast bowler. He was born on 13 April 1992 in Changa Bangial, Gujar Khan, Punjab, Pakistan.
Amir made his international debut for Pakistan in 2009 at the age of 17. He quickly became one of the most promising young fast bowlers in the world, and was a key member of the Pakistan team that won the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 and the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.
However, Amir’s career was derailed in 2010 when he was found guilty of spot-fixing. He was banned from all forms of cricket for five years, and served a prison sentence in England.
Amir returned to cricket in 2015, and has since rebuilt his career. He has been a regular member of the Pakistan team in all formats, and has been praised for his maturity and commitment.
Amir is a very talented bowler, and is capable of bowling at speeds of up to 160 km/h (99 mph). He is also a very good reverse swing bowler, and is able to generate a lot of movement off the pitch.
